FnordNet's Networking Project opens its doors to the public with the release of version 1.0 of the netutils package.

2005-07-13: A Wing and a Prayer

Here at FnordNet, my thoughts are with the flight and ground crews of STS-114. May they have a safe and successful mission.

Update: Today's launch attempt has been scrubbed, due to a fuel level sensor problem. Here's to hoping that the problem is quickly found and corrected.

2005-07-10: FnordNet Under "New Management"

All right, people, let's drop the pretenses. I'm transgendered. So, there, I've said it. Why should I worry? Nobody paid any attention to me as a male, so I figure that I'll be ignored when presenting as female. Just keep in mind that, whatever the shade of lipstick, I'm just as good at what I do as I ever was; just keep me relegated to the corner so you don't have to worry about dealing with me.

2005-01-25: Linux audio guide in the HOWTO section

I've put up an initial version of a guide to audio under Linux. It describes aspects of setup, and some potentially useful audio software. Find it in the HOWTO section.

2005-01-01: Announcing Fnord Linux 4.0

Fnord Linux 4.0 is now available. For those not familiar with Fnord, this is a build-from-source distribution of Linux geared toward the i686 architecture. Check out the distribution's main page to peruse the documentation and order the CD-ROM set.

2004-10-07: Docbook resources available on-site

I make extensive use of Docbook for writing manuals, etc. I repackaged the Docbook downloads in a more convenient format for my own use, and I'm making them available here.
